Thousands of Iranian children, in a rally near the United Nations office in Tehran, shouted protest against the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and urged the world states and international bodies to stop the continued massacre of the Palestinian civilians.
The protestors carried placards reading Palestinian children are not alone, war of children and enemy, condemning mass killing of Palestinian women and children by the Zionist regime.
They called for an end to brutal atrocities in Gaza and termed Israel as the enemy of children.
At the end of the gathering, a statement signed by 16 children-related associations expressed abhorrence at the human tragedy in Gaza and the crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Israeli authorities in Gaza, demanding justice for the war criminals. The statement was delivered to the officials of the UN representative office in Tehran.
Over 2,000 Gazans, mostly women and children, have been killed and more than 11,000 others were severely wounded in the Israeli forces war against the besieged Strip since July 8.
On Wednesday night, Israeli officials and Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas agreed to extend ceasefire for five days ending on Monday night.
