An Israeli businessman allegedly beat his wife after finding drugs, alcohol and condoms in her car, and learning she was having an affair, police say. The woman told her husband, a Ramat Hasharon businessman, her car was missing after she had loaned it to a friend. The husband sought out a vehicle tracking company, which found the abandoned car in a grove. When he opened the car, Ynetnews reported Friday, he allegedly found drugs, alcohol and condoms. The wife's friend initially backed up her story that she had borrowed the car but later admitted she had lied and that his wife had cheated on him. In the midst of a heated argument, the man allegedly hit his wife. She was hospitalized with severe injuries to her face and required surgery. The man told police he did not mean to hit her, he was merely trying to grab her cellphone from her, saying he treated her like a "princess."
