H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, Wife of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, has paid a visit to the Sharjah Ladies Club in Al Dhaid.
Sheikha Jawaher’s visit came in line with her eagerness to follow the progress of work at the club and to maintain contact with its administration and members. H.H. also met a number of directors from government entities and encouraged them to invest in young people.
In an address to the club’s staff, Sheikha Jawaher highlighted the need to realise the full potential of young women, direct them along the right path and guide them in their professional and personal development. She reiterated that it was vital to create and nurture a well-educated generation capable of shaping a bright future for the country. She also thanked the staff for their tireless efforts in working for women in Sharjah.
"I extend my profound thanks to every one of the team members at Al Dhaid Ladies Club for providing such vital services for women and children, and I hope that the club will continue to have a positive influence for its members. Today’s society more than ever needs your efforts, your ideas and your ambitions. Your contribution is invaluable for the development of the Sharjah community and for the UAE nation as a whole," said Sheikha Jawaher.
During her visit, Sheikha Jawaher toured Sharjah Ladies Club's new facilities, including its Tala Nursery, where she met with children and praised the nursery's efforts in developing the skills and abilities of toddlers. She also visited the new Jory Beauty Salon and expressed her admiration for the services provided to ladies and girls, stressing the need to abide by health and safety rules.
Sheikha Jawaher commented that she was very impressed with the high quality of services at the club's facilities and stated her pride in the new generation of talented young ladies who work devotedly to provide an environment that helps enhance women's potential capital. "One's love of her nation is reflected through the serving of her society," said Her Highness.
She met a number of directors of government organisations in Al Dhaid, urging them to direct young women away from traditions that are extraneous to UAE society and to refrain from extremism as Islam teaches. She highlighted women's vital role in raising present and future generations with the skills needed to develop the nation’s institutions and provide services for all members of society.
Sheikha Jawaher said, "Women should care for their children by raising them in a healthy environment and inculcating within them good moral qualities. No nation can make progress if their children are not properly brought up. An important aspect of this is teaching, we must ensure that our children receive the best education at schools and universities."
"Children are a treasure and they deserve our special attention. In a caring and nurturing environment, children will receive the focused attention they deserve, thus developing their personalities and equipping them with the education and knowledge and that will lead them to better serve their society," she added.
"H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has always been keen to care for Emirati citizens by providing them with the necessary requirements that enable them to succeed in life and be in a position to give back to this good land," Her Highness continued.
