A suspect, accused of killing an Asian woman in November last year, was sentenced to death by the High Criminal Court today. He pleaded guilty to the charges levelled against him, the Capital Governorate Chief Prosecutor said.
The court ruled the capital punishment against the defendant for brutally torturing the victim to death by inflicting injuries to her body. The Asian woman used to visit the culprit in his home where they used to take to drugs together. However, following an argument between them on the night of the crime, the culprit attacked her with an aluminum bar and a wooden stick, pushed her against the wall, tied her up, undressed her and tortured her to death with a shaving blade and a lighter.
