Bin Shaibah's statement to KUNA came on the occasion of publishing her study regarding Kuwaiti women's reality and aspirations.
The Kuwaiti researcher said that Kuwaiti women were well aware of the challenges being faced by the women in the region, affirming that since independence in the 1960s, women in the country had made important strides in realizing their potentials.
And by having their aspiration based on Islamic and Arab values, Kuwaiti women began their quest to partake in Kuwait's development through cultivating generations of Kuwaitis who were more culturally aware.
Having such fundamentals resulted in stable and strong individuals, said Bin Shaibah, adding that through social development, various legislations came to elevate the status of women in the Kuwaiti society.
Regarding her research which was published by the Dubai-based Al-Mesbar for Studies and Research Center, Bin Shaibah concluded that a modern Kuwaiti female had a choice to be whatever she desires, adding that the research showed that most Kuwaiti women have chosen to focus on family as the nucleus of a strong and stable society.
