In a gruesome attack, a 39-year-old woman was stabbed to death, and her two children and housemaid were also seriously injured when she tried to prevent a thief from entering her house.
Her 11-year-old daughter, nine-year-old son, and their 29-year-old housemaid were also stabbed and rushed to the hospital, where their condition is described as serious.
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-In-Chief of Fujairah Police, told Gulf News that the police received a call on Thursday at 3.30 am reporting the incident.
The police immediately dispatched a team to the house where it found that the family had been attacked by the assailant.
The assailant has been identified as a 23-year-old Pakistani national
A medical team rushed the injured family members to the hospital, where the mother was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect was arrested within half an hour of the incident taking place
