US President Barack Obama hit the campaign trail again on Sunday, asking Florida voters to go to the polls on Nov. 8 and elect Hillary Clinton to extend the series of Democratic triumphs he began in 2008 and prevent her Republican rival, Donald Trump, from getting into the White House.
"Now here's the thing though, Florida: All the progress we've made goes out the window if we don't win this election. And we win this election if we win Florida," Obama told the enthusiastic crowd.
"If we win Florida, it's a wrap. We win Florida, it's over. So we've got to work our hearts out this week - these next two days - as if our future depends on it," he said.
Obama won Florida in both 2008 and 2012, but before him only Bill Clinton had won the state for the Democrats since 1976, triumphing there in 1996.
