The Omani Shura Council. Omanis on Sunday elected 84 representatives to the seventh term of the Shura Council. Ne'ma Bint Jameel Al Busaidiyah became the only woman to join the Shura Council. Saturday's Voting across the Sultanate closed after opening for 12 hours and drawing a strong turnout, according to an official of the election committee. Nearly 518,000 eligible voters were called to take part in the poll in which 1,133 candidates, including 77 women, contested for four-year term in the Shura Council.
