The Second Exhibition for Women and Labour – 'Opportunities and Choices’, which was organised by the Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, who deputised the SCW Deputy President Dr. Shaikha Mariam bin Hassan Al Khalifa concluded here today.
The Second Exhibition for Women and Labour offered a platform for skilled professionals to showcase their talent to the private and public sector while profiling Bahrainis as employees of choice, and providing an opportunity for people with disabilities to meet with potential employers and explore job openings. The expo features a number of pavilions for private and training institutions interested in supporting entrepreneurship. It will also include a special pavilion for female inventors, who will present their success stories.
The Exhibition has achieved its objectives, sought by the government through the establishment of a series of collective career expos years ago, in the context of strengthening the government's initiatives in the provision of work opportunities for citizens to ensure them a decent living.
The Exhibition enjoyed a remarkable interest from the officials at the Ministry of Labour and the SCW, where Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan and SCW's Secretary General Hala Al Ansari were constantly following-up with the work flow and ensuring the achievement of desired results.
