Chairperson of the Kuwait Society for the Ideal Family Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday urged state and social institutions concerned with the young generation to play due role to enhance the sense of national belonging.
Overlooking pushing the youth to be armed with science and encouraging them to get involved in the labor market, opens the door wide for them to violence, crime, drugs and the like, Sheikha Fariha said in a press statement.
She underlined the necessity of caring for the young since early age, providing them with a safe environment, and later on, with the proper jobs to participate in building the nation.
Sheikha Fariha also called for protecting young people against insidious thoughts through awareness campaigns and conferences in which they take part. Caring for the expectations of the young people and addressing their problems and the obstacles facing them is necessary so as not to fall prey to bodies working against Kuwait interests.
The Chairperson of the Ideal Family called on the state institutions and the private sector to adopt and support expectations of the Kuwaiti youth, opening the door for them to express their concerns and hopes, as well as removing all obstacles that might face their future.
She also appealed to parents to avert family violence, regarded as a major reason for the spread of violence and extremism among youth. Fathers have also to monitor their children's use of the internet to safeguard them against ideas and behaviors that are strange to the Kuwaiti integrated society.
