Cairo Criminal Court decided to postpone until October 3 the trial of a woman over charges of attacking a police officer at Cairo airport.
Yasmine el Narsh is accused of having sedatives in her possession when she arrived at Cairo airport to take a flight to Hurghada on April 28, resisting a law enforcement officer and insulting airport employees.
She had arrived past boarding time and sparked hubbub after being informed that she should reschedule, prosecution investigations revealed.
She resisted policemen and insulted and threatened EgyptAir employees, which constitutes a felony.
Narsh also physically and verbally attacked an officer of the tourism police who had been summoned to write a report on the incident, which was caught on video.
Narsh had been held in custody pending the trial.
