A Florida woman conceded towing her granddaughter in a toy car behind a motor vehicle was stupid, even if the girl "was all woot! woot! woot! the whole time." Paul and Belinda Berloni have been charged with child endangerment, WTVT, Tampa, reported Tuesday. Sheriff's deputies arrived Sunday afternoon while the couple were towing the 7-year-old girl. While Belinda Berloni now says using dog leashes to attach the toy car to the back of the sport utility vehicle seems like a "stupid idea," she says her granddaughter enjoyed it. She said her husband drove about 5 mph. "She was all woot! woot! woot! the whole time anyway!" Belinda Berloni said. She said she expected the deputies to give them a warning or tell them to stop. Instead, they were arrested and Paul Berloni was behind bars Tuesday, the TV station said. Belinda Berloni said both she and Paul had drunk "a few beers" before the towing. She said her son is angry about what she did.
