A woman has been arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences and child neglect, as she was travelling with her baby son, according to the Independent.
The 25-year-old from Sparkbrook, Birmingham, was detained at the airport as she left a flight from Turkey at around 9pm, West Midlands Police said.
The woman, who was travelling with her one-year-old son, was also arrested on suspicion of child neglect and child abduction.
Her arrest by officers from West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit was pre-planned and intelligence-led.
Police stressed there was no threat to the safety of the flight or the airport.
