A woman could go to any length to win back the love of her husband especially when she is forced to share him with another woman, some say. A 29-year-old Indian woman in Dubai, in fact, even cooked up a case of trespassing and molestation against two men to attract her husband, who stopped visiting her four months into their marriage, back to her. The Dubai Police arrested and referred her to the Public Prosecution recently on the charges of misleading the officers and misusing the official machinery for personal ends. The prosecution is now interrogating her. According to a police source, the woman called the police Operations Room on December 29, saying two men had barged into her apartment in Al Qusais area and molested her. She told the cops who rushed to the building that she was staying alone in the flat. Around 7pm, she heard the doorbell ringing. She tried to see who it was through the peephole in the door, but could not see anything as the corridor was dark. When she opened the door, she saw two men standing at the doorstep. She tried to shut the door immediately, but the men pushed her back and entered the flat. She alleged that they forcibly removed her dress, touched her private parts but ran away as she screamed loudly. She described one of the suspects as tall and well built with brown eyes. That man threatened her and said she had destroyed his sister’s life. She said she could not recall the features of the other man. The police suspected her story from the beginning. During investigation, the police called her again to the police station. During interrogation, the woman said she married a 50-year-old Indian, who was married to a woman who lives in India. Her husband rented the flat for her and stayed with her for four months. She felt lonely and helpless as he had stopped visiting her for the past eight months. She thought of inventing a story to make her husband come back to her. Besides, she wanted to destroy his first marriage, which would have helped her goal. She said she wanted to make her husband think that the attack was made by his first wife’s relatives. That was why she told the cops that one of the suspects had threatened her saying that she destroyed his sister’s life.
