A judicial source said that, the Criminal Court sentenced a convicted person to life imprisonment for the murder of a woman in revenge to his wife in “Wasit” governorate
The source said that, the brother of the victim proposed to the killer’s wife, but her parents refused and married her to their relative “the killer”, who lives abroad without his wife. The victim invited the killer’s wife after many years to her house, convincing her that they will be joined by their other friends to have a good time. After few minutes of the wife’s arrival to the victim’s house, she was attacked by the brother, who proposed to her before, and raped her to get revenge for being refused from her parents.
According to the source, this whole accident was arranged by the victim. The wife told his husband after he returned to the country about the rape incident, so he decided to avenge her from the victim after he found out that, the rapist died from some disease. The killer tricked the victim to go with him to buy a present for his wife, took her to a remote place and stabbed her until she was died, and dumped her body in the trash. The court found enough evidence to convict the defendant and to sentence him to life imprisonment according to the Penal Code.
