Immerse yourself in a virtual experience of Dubai like never before with the innovative Dubai360 VR App launched by du in collaboration with Dubai Film during GITEX Technology Week 2015. Using high resolution 360 degree content procured by Dubai360, including panoramic images, 360 degree video and high definition time lapse videos, this pioneering application by du gives users an unprecedented experience of certain areas in the breathtaking city of Dubai.
Users are able to download the app from the IOS & Android store at no cost; and launch the app to experience Dubai on their smartphone, wherever they are. Alternatively, they can have a fully immersive Virtual Reality adventure by inserting the phone in one of the branded du Dubai360 Cardboard viewfinders that du is giving out at its stand at GITEX Technology Week to experience Dubai from a VR perspective.
"Today we are taking our customers on a journey within Dubai like they've never experienced it before. Making nascent VR technology a reality for all of our customers is another way in which we are adding life to life. For us the concept of smart is no longer a vision, it is something that we are making available to our customers now. Aligning ourselves with a pioneer in 360 degree film, Dubai Film, enables us to raise the bar for innovation," said Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Commercial Officer, du .
In addition to the application, the collaboration with Dubai Films brings Dubai360 videos to du View - our multiscreen video application, also available on the IOS & Android stores.
du offered visitors at GITEX Technology Week the opportunity to venture into the world of VR using both iOS and Android platforms at the Gaming Smart Home section of its stand. In addition to the smartphone and VR view, a large screen was connected to one user smartphone via HDMI or Airplay to demonstrate what the person using the App experienced.
