Senior officials in information and communication technology (ICT) companies have affirmed that Bahrain is entitled to be a regional ICT leader.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (BITEX), concluded recently here, they said that Bahrain’s qualified personnel, strong Internet and communication networks, the rise of the percentage of mobile users to 180%, advanced laws and vicinity to the Saudi market entitle it to lead the region in ICT.
They added that they had participated in BITEX for the aim of expanding their operations in Bahrain and the region, and finding local partners ahead of launching permanent offices here.
