Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received the chairman of the International Social Media Club (ISMC-Bahrain chapter), Ali Sabkar, and club board of directors' members.
The delegation's visit came on the occasion of the club's launching its third edition of the Social Media Pioneers Forum under the patronage of the Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs in December.
During the meeting, the Minister welcomed the club's chairman and members, praising their good efforts in supporting and developing the club's activities, events and workshops aimed at optimum usage of the social media to reap the benefit and welfare to all.
The Minister stressed the importance of technologies usage on the issues and matters which benefit the individual and the community and which help showcase the Kingdom's urbane accomplishments in various fields, wishing the Club's officers all success.
The Club's chairman has expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Minister of State for Telecommunication Affairs for the good reception, praising the Minister's huge efforts in developing the telecommunications field in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Ali Sabkar pointed out that the Social Media Club forum's two previous editions had been organized under the patronage of Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa in 2012 and 2013.
