The Minister of Science and Communication, Dr. Tahani Abdalla Attia, has stood on the efforts and steps being done for Implementation of Africa Technological City project.
In her address to the first meeting of the Council for the City's Administration, chaired by the State Minister of the Ministry of Science and Communication, Al-Saddiq Fadlalla, Dr. Tahani affirmed that the project comes in the context of the state concern with development of the information and communications sector, as the city aims to link technology with productivity and development.
The Africa Technological City will have scientific infrastructure and appropriate climate for carrying out the scientific research and the technical application and to contribute in transfer and settlement of technology as well as the development of the human resources and encouraging the investment in this field.
Meanwhile, the State Minister and Director of Africa Technological City, Engineer Al-Saddiq Fadlalla, has given directive for work to provide the council with a detailed report on the project and its implementation steps, stressing on the role of council to pushing ahead the implementation steps.
He noting that Africa Technological City will contribute greatly and directly to achieving the comprehensive renaissance based on knowledge-economy and appropriate atmosphere for conducting technology research, knowledge and the settlement of technologies pertinent to exploiting energies and achieving the added-value for the resources and potentialities that are available in Sudan.
