Search giant Google on Sunday paid tribute to the historic elections in Tunisia with one of its patented Doodles. The Doodle was associated only with Tunisia IP addresses, so Tunisians visiting Google’s homepage were greeted with a stylised logo with the Tunisian flag and a polling station box. Clicking on the Google Doodle takes the visitor to a Google search results page on the Tunisian elections, the first true multiparty voting in the country’s history. The online search giant regularly marks global events and anniversaries by adding illustrations to the letters of its own name.
