The Ministry of Interior is keeping pace with modern technology to facilitate services for citizens and residents, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said on Wednesday.
Continuous modernization is basic for upgrading efficiency of security work, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled said in a press statement following his inauguration of the second phase of the smart apparatuses system project today.
The Minister highlighted the great progress realized at the Ministry's General Department of Information System, which matches world achievements on the security and information levels.
He also said that the information technology and communications sector shoulders huge burden of developing and supporting the security strategy to combat crime with its social and economic dimensions.
