Prosecutor General Nabil Ahmed Sadek has ordered seizing surveillance cameras fixed inside and outside the Mar Gerges Church where an explosion took place earlier Sunday.
The blast left at least 21 people killed and 59 others injured.
The prosecutors were assigned to move to the scene to hold immediate investigations, according to a statement released by the Prosecutor General's office.
The Prosecution has ordered forensic physicians to examine the bodies and determine the reasons of their death, added the statement.
A crime scene investigation team has reached hospitals to hear the testimonies of the injured and a criminal lab and sappers were assigned to investigate the scene of the blast and prepare a technical report to this effect, the statement added.
