MENA board chairman and editor in chief Alaa Haidar on Sunday discussed plans of joint projects with Director of Chinese Xinhua's Middle east Regional Bureau Zeng Hu.
Haidar, who received Hu at MENA HQ, said in statements that the plans include establishing Information and Technology Center in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
He added that Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCEZ) Ahmed Darwish welcomed the plan.
Haidar also proposed a plan to establish a joint energy sciences university in Cairo or in the SCEZ.
The two sides also discussed cooperation in the field of journalism training via MENA training center to provide media courses for Arab, African nationals along with Arabic-speakers all over the world.
Zeng Hu welcomed the proposals, adding that these plans can be studied in detail with the head of Xinhua, who will visit MENA Tuesday.
