In a rare move, Apple said "sorry" to its users.
The company apologized on Thursday for problems with iOS 8.0.1.
Apple released iOS 8.0.1 on Wednesday and users started reporting problems with it.
Among those issues, users were not able to use cellular service and Touch ID didn't work.
iOS 8.0.1 was supposed to fix the problems with HealthKit along with problems with third-party keyboards.
Apple released this statement along with the update:
iOS 8.0.2 is now available for users, it fixes an issue that affected iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users who downloaded iOS 8.0.1, and includes improvements and bug fixes originally in iOS 8.0.1. We apologize for inconveniencing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users who were impacted by the bug in iOS 8.0.1.
According to Apple, fewer than 40,000 iPhone users were affected by the bad release.
It was up for an hour before the company pulled it.
