China reiterated opposition to cyber attacks from hackers in all forms after media reported Chinese hackers infiltrated Apple's iCloud.
Hackers interposed their own website between users and Apple's iCloud server, intercepting data and potentially gaining access to passwords, iMessages, photos and contacts, a Chinese web monitoring group Greatfire.org wrote in its blog post.
"I have no information of this report yet," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a daily news briefing.
"China is resolutely opposed to hacker attacks in all forms and China itself is a major victim of cyber attacks," she said.
Cyber attacks tend to be transnational and anonymous. All countries need to take a constructive attitude, respect and trust each other to solve the complex global issue, she said, calling on all parties to strengthen dialogue and cooperation in this regard.
The spokeswoman said "wild guesses and malicious blemish" will not help solve cyber issues.
