Google, which canceled a product unveiling event in New York because of Hurricane Sandy, has made its new introductions on a blog post instead. Google blogged information on a new Nexus phone, a new version of its Android operating system, a new 7-inch tablet computer and its first 10-inch tablet, a Nexus model to be sold for $399. The Nexus 4 smartphone, developed with LG, will run a quad-core processor and feature a 4.7-inch screen. Google confirmed previous rumors of wireless charging. A feature called Photo Sphere will allow users to take photos in different directions and then stitch them together to create a 360-degree panorama. The Nexus 7 tablet will be available with 16 gigabytes of storage for $199 or 32 gigabytes for $249. It will also feature cellular connectivity for HSPA+ mobile data from U.S. providers AT&T and T-Mobile. Google said it Nexus 10 tablet has the highest resolution of any tablet with a 2560-by-1600 display. Equipped with front-facing stereo speakers, its battery can power 10 hours of video watching or up to 500 hours of standby time, the company said. The Nexus 10 tablet will cost $399 for a 16-gigabyte version and $499 for a 32-gigabyte model.
