Earlier, Egypt's telecommunications regulator set the price of a licence to provide fourth-generation mobile services at EGP 3.54 billion, half of which must be paid in dollars.
The NTRA set the first week of August as a deadline to receive responses of the mobile operators willing to get the mobile phone licenses, totally or partially.
The regulator set the cost of getting a fixed line licence at EGP 100 million and the cost of a licence to offer customers international calls at EGP 1.8 billion.
