A half-PC and half-tablet product by China's PC manufacturing giant Lenovo on Thursday won the "Best of CES" Award for PC and Tablets products at the 2013 International CES, the world's largest consumer electronics trade show. Horizon is a Windows 8-based 27-inch PC. On top of Microsoft's new operating system, Lenovo has added its own multi-user interface called Aura. CNET, the world's famous consumer products news and reviews brand, said that "Lenovo's Horizon 27 takes coffee-table computing to a new level." Lenovo wants customers to think of the 27-inch multi-touch Horizon not so much as a semi-portable desktop, but instead as a multi-user device. Most of Horizon's programs on display at the show are games, such as air hockey, a four-player shooting game. "In the past, only hardware and speed matter for the Internet handset devices... But today, hardware, software and applications all must work together, and it is essential to create a great user experience," Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing told a products news release conference earlier on Tuesday. More than 600 Chinese companies, including major brands like Haier, Hisense, Huawei and Lenovo, came with growing presence at the Las Vegas show.
