An official source from the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) called to becareful when publishing any number in statements or news articles prior to confirming their accuracy to convey the correct image. The source was referring to an article published in a local newspaper arelatd to the size of financial reserve, investment or the size of expenditure either in the kingdom or region. The source also affirmed the inaccuarcy of these numbers could lead to an incorrect reading of current market situation for those referring to them. He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has an outstanding status as the best financial hub related to audit and supervision in the Middle East for more than 40 years. It has been and still is a pioneering financial centre for monetary services as it forms the larger sector in Bahrain's economic and contributes to one quarter of the GDP along with providing 14000 jobs a majority of which for Bahrainis. The source emphasised that Bahrain would continue to reinforce its position as a leading financial hub in the region via improving further its products and services.
