The Tunisian Ministry of Development said on Friday that the German KfW Development Bank will provide Tunisia a loan of 100 million euros next week to finance projects in the sector of water, the Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) news agency reported.
The credit agreement will be signed Monday by the Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation and the Regional Manager of the Middle East and North Africa at KFW.
On November 29, 2016, German bank KFW had signed a loan agreement of a total of 105 million euros on the sidelines of the international conference "Tunisia 2020".
A loan agreement of 82 million euros was also signed at the same conference between KFW and STEG (Tunisian Electricity and Gas Corporation) for the construction of a water desalination plant and another loan contract with the same institution for 11.5 million euros for a photovoltaic plant in Tozeur.
