Union National Bank has been recognized as a Distinguished Honoree in two categories of the International Business Awards namely, Company of the year Financial Services and UNB CEO Mr Mohammad Nasr Abdeen as Executive of the Year Financial Services.The International Business Awards, also known as Stevie Awards, is considered business world’s Oscar Awards. It recognizes achievements of outstanding individuals and organizations in the international businesses that are making a difference to their customers, shareholders, employees and communities.The 8th Annual International Business Awards is sponsored and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade, UAE. This is the first occasion that a Middle Eastern or Asian country has hosted these Awards which will be presented to the honorees at a gala event in October 2011 at the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi.The honorees were selected from more than 3,000 entries received from organisations and individuals in more than 50 countries. They were determined through two rounds of judging by close to 200 professionals world-wide.
