Muscat - Arab Today

Committing to its deal with OPEC, the Ministry of Oil and gas has released the quantity of crude oil each producer is allowed to extract in Oman.

The production cap is effective from this month according to OPEC deal which aims to decrease global production by 1.8 million dollars a barrel. Oman has agreed to cut 45,000 barrels a day.

Oman’s total production after the cuts will be 970,094 barrels per day reducing from more than a million in December last year.

"PDO has reduced production across its southern and northern fields consistent with assigned production ceilings from the Ministry of Oil & Gas," said a PDO spokesperson.

PDO – 652, 000, Occidental Oman – 218, 585, Daleel Petroelum – 48, 000, CC Energy – 41, 000, Others: 10, 509.
