Qatar announced today that 12 countries have agreed so far to participate in a meeting it's hosting on 17th April to discuss a freeze in oil output levels.
Qatar has earlier invited OPEC and non-OPEC major producers for a meeting in April discuss the production cap to January level and methods to restore balance to world oil markets.
''Qatar is still expecting official confirmation from producers that have verbally expressed plans to attend the meeting,'' Qatar News Agency, QNA, quoted the minister as saying.
Those confirmed so far are Saudi Arabia, Russia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Nigeria, Algeria, Indonesia, Ecuador, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
