Minister of Higher Education Bader al-Issa
Kuwait - KUNA

Minister of Higher Education Dr. Bader Al-Issa has commended efforts exerted by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancements of Sciences (KFAS) and the Scientific Center to prepare for the "1001 Inventions" Exhibition since 2010.
"There are three editions of the exhibition in Europe, East Asia and Arab region," he said, noting the exhibition revives "our ancient Arab and Muslim culture." Al-Issa made this remark on Wednesday during a speech delivered by him on behalf of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition.
The exhibition, which is organized for the first time in Kuwait in collaboration with the KFAS and the Scientific Center, is held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir and runs until March 7.
Al-Issa said the ministry's policy aims at supporting scientific events, urging students of schools and universities across the country visit the exhibition.
For his part, the Scientific Center's Chairman Mijbil Al Mutawa, said that the event promotes the message that calls for simplifying sciences and spreading environmental awareness.
The exhibition is organized here after it was hosted by several countries around the world including the United Kingdom, the United States, Sweden, the Netherlands, Turkey, UAE, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where it attracted more than 6 million visitors.
He said the exhibition is an interactive one that sheds light on scientific and technological achievements of the golden age of Islamic culture more than 1000 years ago.
Meanwhile, KFAS's Director General Dr. Adnan Shihab-Eldin said that His Highness the Amir's support for such exhibitions reflects his keenness to back the scientific development.
