Two ancient statues were found recently in Aswan by a Swiss archaeological mission.
One of them dates back to ancient Egypt. It belongs to a governor of Elephantine island, said Mahmoud Afifi, the head of the Egyptian antiquities department at the Ministry of Antiquities.
The two statues were unearthed near the Temple of Khnum in Esna, Upper Egypt.
