The head of the archaeological sites in Giza's Haram district said the archaeological sites received on Monday more than 7,000 Egyptian visitors and 2,000 foreigners of various nationalities on Easter celebrations.
In statements to MENA, Hussein Abdel Basir said the visitors hailed preparations in the area on Easter celebration in line with directives with Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anani.
Security was intensified in tourist and archaeological sites on Easter celebration, he added.
