Antiquities Minister Khaled el Enani opened on Monday Alexandria International Conference on Maritime and Underwater Archaeology.
Enani expressed happiness of holding this conference for the first time in the coastal city to shed light on the tireless efforts exerted by the ministry's central department of sunken treasures.
The conference will run for three days with the participation of 25 researchers and archaeologists representing France, Poland, Japan and the US.
