Work is underway to renovate archaeological sites, particularly museums, in line with a plan by the Ministry of Antiquities to that effect.
The renovation of the Military Museum at Cairo Citadel is one of the most important programs, said Minister of Antiquities Khaled el Anani on Monday.
The aim is to turn Cairo Citadel into a cultural hub, Anani said.
Trees around the Citadel will be trimmed to allow for a better view of the palace where the Military Museum is located, said Gamal Moustafa, the director of antiquities at the museum
