Assistant Foreign Minister for Cultural Affairs Olfat Farah met Monday with Maestro Selim Sahab to discuss efforts to support cultural projects.
The meeting took up projects implemented by the Selim Sahab Organization for the Arab Creator.
A choral and an orchestra of Egyptian street children is among those projects that depend on music to promote positive energy in those children and encourage them to become part of the social fabric.
The project has helped build the personalities of those children and turn them from violent children into creative persons, Sahab said.
This project is supported by the ministries of social solidarity, education, youth and sports, as well as the president of Cairo University.
This street children choral holds a concert on the last Tuesday of every month at Cairo University.
