Azhar deplored on Tuesday Israeli forces' storming operations into the vicinity of al Aqsa Mosque and preventing people under the age of 60 years from praying in the holy shrine.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Azhar condemned Israeli assaults on worshipers in Aqsa Mosque, disregarding the sanctity of the place.
Azhar said such unjustified Zionist violations contradict the teachings of all heavenly religions and ratchet up tension and hatred.
Azhar urged the international community to intervene to protect Aqsa and all religious sanctuaries in Quds and suspend such provocative violations.
