Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb met on Sunday with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and his accompanying delegation to discuss fostering cooperation in global peace's issues.
The Archbishop of Canterbury hailed Al Azhar as the oldest religious and educational institution representing the moderate Islam.
For his part, el Tayyeb asserted that the visit of the Archbishop of Canterbury is strong evidence of the keenness of the divine religions' followers to boost cooperation among them.
ِAzhar spares no effort to achieve the global peace and present the true image of Islam and Muslims in the whole world, el Tayyeb added.
