President of Azhar University Abdel Hai Azzab said that Azhar will continue to spread the moderate teachings of Islam inside and outside Egypt.
Azzab said that there is no difference between Muslims and Christians, all are part an one fabric of this nation.
This came during his meeting with a delegation from the Coptic Orthodox Church under Bishop Ermia.
Azzab said that Egypt will remain a pioneer in uniting Muslims and Christians, citing the Family House that groups prominent Muslim and Christian clerics as well as members of the public.
The delegation lauded the role of Azhar in spreading the values of tolerance and facing violence and extremism.
