The bustling market bringing together movie producers
Cannes - AFP

The bustling market bringing together movie producers, distributors and financiers behind the scenes at the Cannes Film Festival is doing thriving trade in B-grade films you might never see (but which seem awfully familiar).

Here is a short list of some of the fare you might find there:

"Nightfall"

Tagline: No one said being a teenager was easy.

Obviously inspired by the hit "Twilight" series, even down to fangs in the title font.

"Little Red Riding Hood"

Another werewolf retelling of the children's fairy tale.

"Little Dead Rotting Hood"

Zombie werewolves in this one, due out late this year.

"Starship Rising"

The makers of this one must have thought last year's flop "Jupiter Ascending" deserved homage.

"Mercenaries"

The idea: take "The Expendables" and put a bunch of women in the leading roles (including Sylvester Stallone's ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen)

"Asteroid Vs. Earth"

Guess which one wins?

"Android Cop"

A cop gets robotic limbs to replace the ones he lost in the line of duty and ends up fighting the evil corporation that remade him. Sound familiar, "RoboCop" fans?

"Age of Tomorrow"

Say it fast enough and it sounds like a recent sci-fi blockbuster starring Tom Cruise.

"2 the Sea"

If the title isn't a giveaway, the poster for this upcoming feature is: jolly cartoon sea creatures, including a pink clown fish distantly related to "Finding Nemo", frolicking underwater.

"3-Headed Shark Attack"

It's all in the title given by LA production company The Asylum. Apparently in this one, as a mutant shark "eats its way from one end of the ship to the next, the passengers fight the deadly predator using anything they can find".

"Sharknado 3"

Because waterbound sharks just aren't good enough -- and "Sharknado" and "Sharknado 2" did enough business for a third story about airborne sharks attacking a city.
