Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)'s President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received the Ambassador of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed bin Yousef and discussed with him various projects and ideas of mutual interest.
The two sides explored ways and means of boosting cooperation in the field of culture and heritage.
The meeting covered BACA's activities for this year that are part of the Authority's celebration of Heritage Year 2015 under the theme : "Our Heritage... Our Wealth".
Shaikha Mai emphasized Bahrain's keenness on consolidating ties with Arab countries in the fields of culture and the arts in view of the volume of common culture and history and rich cultural diversity in the Arab region, praising Tunisia's enlightened cultural movement.
The ambassador praised the role of cultural projects and the steps taken by Bahrain to bolster its cultural infrastructures and investment in culture. He expressed his country's readiness for cooperation in various events and festivals hosted by Bahrain.
