Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received here recently the Greek Ambassador to Kuwait and Bahrain Theodoros Theodorou.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations in the fields of culture and tourism, in light of the two countries' interest in heritage as a tourism front, and keenness to take advantage of their similar rich civilisations to enhance joint action to boost cultural tourism.
The Greek Ambassador lauded the Ministry of Culture's efforts to consolidate cultural and tourism work in the kingdom.
He also praised the ministry's support for diverse artistic events, and hosting of international groups, as part of its celebrations of the "Year of the Art" and the choice of Manama as Capital of Asian Culture in 2014.
