Culture is well represented in the 21st Al-Ayyam Book Fair opened by on Thursday by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa .
The Fair, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, is scheduled to run until January 3.
A dedicated pavilion showcases a rich collection of recent publications, including critical reviews, poetry anthologies, novels and books exploring Bahrain’s long-standing heritage and national archeological vestiges.
Editions of Bahrain Cultural Magazine are also exhibited along with other booklets and publications promoting Bahrain tourism in both Arabic and English.
A book documenting the history of fine arts in Bahrain is also on display at the fair, along with a book featuring artifacts at the Bahrain National Museum and another book of reference "Anthology of Arab Architecture 1914-2014", which sheds light on the developing architectural trends in the Arab World over the past century.
