Bahrain will always be a beacon of co-existence, tolerance and solidarity, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today said. Receiving General Authority for Hussainya Processions Honorary President Sayed Hussain Al-Sayed Kadhim Al-Alawi at Al-Safriya Palace, he hailed the spirit of closely-knit family which is prevailing in Bahrain, bonding all the nation.
He hailed the efforts of the honorary president along with the authority to mark these religious occasions, commending their cooperation with relevant parties to ensure the organisation of the event. He underscored the importance of preserving these religious events which foster cooperation and fraternity among Bahrainis, under the banner of national unity and lofty values which stem from long-standing Islamic heritage.
HM the King congratulated the General Authority for Hussainya Processions on its 60th-anniversary, extending greetings to all members. Sayed Hussain Al-Sayed Kadhim Al-Alawi submitted to HM the King the report of the General Authority for Hussainya Processions, paying tribute to the wise leadership for its role in support the religious events and the processions.
The authority extended deep thanks and appreciation to HM the King for directing ministries and government departments to ensure all services marking Ashura. The report hailed HM the King for supporting charity societies and Hussainya community centres (maatams). Sayed Hussain Al-Sayed Kadhim Al-Alawi said he was honoured to meet HM the King, commending the wise leadership for its decades-long support of religious events in Bahrain, long famed for religious freedom which is guaranteed in the National Action Charter.
