The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives has compiled a book on speeches and sayings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah. The collection covers the period beginning from 1982 when he was appointed crown prince until 2007. The book in 573 pages also comprises King Abdullah’s interviews with various newspapers and the electronic media during the period, the Saudi Press Agency reported Thursday. The book shows King Abdullah always stressed the importance of the Kingdom’s leadership throughout history, as it is the land of the Two Holy Mosques and the heart of the Islamic world. The king’s words also stressed the unique position and responsibility of the Kingdom in the world as an economic power. His words also focused on peace and abhorrence of violence and the need for constructive cooperation and reforms in an environment of peace and stability. His words reflected his love for the people in the Kingdom and Arab and Islamic worlds. He always expressed his concern for issues of the people in the Arab and Muslim world, particularly Palestine.
