On 25 March, a seminar titled ‘To Do or Not To Do’ will be held at Goethe Institut as part of this year's Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival's special programme.
The seminar, which is part of Show Me the World project, will discuss a range of curatorial concepts in the performance arts.
The project invites renowned curators to prepare a lecture that describes and analyses their theatre landscape and the curatorial manner of approaches and methods in their respective regional context.
Egyptian playwright and the artistic director of D-CAF Ahmed El-Attar will be the guest of Thursday's seminar.
The seminar will be followed by 20-minute consultation sessions with five curators and programmers from Egypt. It will be conducted in English and hosted by Anja Derkis, the director of Belluard Festival in Fribourg in Switzerland.
