Dagestan will build the largest mosque in Europe. The building will cover 20 hectares and have room for up to 50,000 people.
The project of the mosque which will be constructed between Makhachkala and Kaspiysk contains designs of roads, a parking lot and a decorative alley with flowers and bushes for the mosque, Russian Novosti news agency reported.
The mosque will consist of a complex of buildings. The mufti administration, museums of Dagestan and Islam, an Islamic university, a medrese and other social and religious centers will be a part of the mosque.
